2027 Pre-Symposium Event

AI Lab for HR Practitioners
Build a Real Use Case for Your Own Job
Session Description:
Join Philly SHRM for a pre-symposium working session on AI for HR practitioners. Expect a lab, not a lecture. You’ll work with colleagues in similar HR roles to identify real AI use cases from your own organizations, then pick one from your group and build it into a workable concept. That means making the business case, figuring out how AI fits into the work, deciding who needs to be brought along, and defining how you’ll know it’s working. The session wraps up with a presentation from each table, so you’ll see what the whole room came up with and leave with ideas that you can bring back and use at work.
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
-
- Identify a realistic AI use case in their own HR role and explain why it matters to the business.
- Map out how AI would fit into an existing workflow, including who needs to be involved and how success would be measured.
- Pitch a developed concept to peers and take away ideas from what other tables built.
-
- A developed AI use case tied to your own role, ready to bring back to your organization
- A simple structure you can reuse whenever someone hands you the next “we should be using AI for this” idea
- New ideas and connections from HR peers who work in different functions
